  1. "ElGato" requires at least an extra 256K of fast RAM to run in its entirety.

  5.                                 MULTITASKING!

  7.    If you are an owner of SONIX from Aegis Development and have at least
  8. 512K of fast RAM expansion on your Amiga then you can create a stunning
  9. audio-visual display by multitasking the music from Sonix with the "ElGato"
  10. animation.  To facilitate this, we have included on this disk a very
  11. impressive Sonix score from the public domain called "YTV".
  12.  
  13.    First copy the program "Sonix" from the Sonix disk Root Directory to the
  14. ElGato disk Root Directory. Next, you have to copy the following files from
  15. the Miscellaneous Directory of your Sonix disk to the Miscellaneous Direc-
  16. tory on the ElGato disk: SampledSound.tech, Sonix.code and Synthesis.tech.

  18.    Now when you boot up with the ElGato disk, Sonix will be run
  19. automatically, but you will still have to manually load the score, "YTV" as
  20. you normally would. Also be sure to click on the repeat or play button of
  21. the Sonix screen so the music will actually play. The "ElGato" animation will
  22. load and run on its own.

  30.             "ElGato" is self-running. Put in DF0: at Workbench prompt.

  52. This material was submitted to me on disk by the Badge Killer Demo Contest
  53. coordinator, Tomas Rokicki, for inclusion in the library.  This is Kevin
  54. Sullivan's entry to the B.K.D.C.
  55.  
  56. I have set up the demo to be runnable from workbench by clicking on an
  57. icon that fires up xicon, which runs a CLI script with the appropriate
  58. ShowANIM command.  The original disk had a similar mechanism, but I
  59. changed things slightly to conform to the same techniques used on
  60. the other library disks with animations.  Since I do not have a copy
  61. of Sonix, I could not test the background music component of the demo.
